This is an attempt at a New York-style bar, with steel and wood decor. It pays lip service to the 'news' theme with racks of papers and a non-stop satellite news screen. But behind the façade it's a regular Roman bar with better than average lunch options (salads, soups, pastas, filled rolls) and cakes, including muffins and brownies. The seating is cramped - unless you are lucky enough to secure one of the few outside tables - and the service can sometimes be a little offhand. Be sure to check out the loo… amazing.

We were there for the wales v Italy Six Nations Rugby, Had a great time, Staff were obliging and welcoming, Cristiano, Kwendy are fab, beer cold and mojitos superb what more could one ask for, fantastico. Grazie Mille. Would certainly go back to News cafe.
To Vince I think I met your waiter (Giovanni). A terribly rude Sicilian man. I don't know what he's doing as a waiter personally. After giving them money for what I'm consuming Should I expect reasonable service?? I won't be going back again. Skip the News cafe. There's lots of much (cheaper) nicer places, without annoying waiters.
The bar is beautifull,the staff is very friendly,the service is perfect,all is very clean and the cocktails are amazing...(especially the mojito..the best...)
I raccomend this place
This was puzzling. The first time we went the staff was very friendly. The next time, the very same waiter was incredibly rude. He refused to speak to me in Italian even though my language skills are above average and he kept telling us to hurry up when ordering because he was too busy (maximum amount of time we took ordering: 1 minute).
To top it all off, they wouldn't serve us anything on the menu except a sandwich. They said it was too busy for us to order something more involved. We couldn't even get a salad!
Our first experience here was great, but the second one will make me not ever go back there again. And you all should steer clear too!
