Get half-priced drinks at Marina Bay Sands' Social Hour

Like you, we've always felt a little intimidated to pop into one of the glitzy cocktail bars at the Marina Bay Sands. But the drinks actually aren't more expensive than their city-side counterparts, and they're now even cheaper with the complex's Social Hour promos.

Every Tuesday from 6 to 9pm, pop into any one of the 14 participating bars – they include CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Long Chim, Sky on 57, Pizzeria Mozza, Spago, and *squeal!* Waku Ghin – and drinks are as cheap as $9 a pop. Each bar is shaking up one signature cocktail at a 50 percent discount, so you might leave with rent money intact, as well as a happy high on a Tuesday night.

And if we all went on a pub crawl together, here's how we'd rock it with you:

6.30pm Take the lifts up to Spago, order the vodka, sake, tangerine and Thai basil-filled Love You Long Time ($13 after discount), and watch the sun go down over the city. 

Rough Love at CUT by Wolfgang Puck

7.15pm Order a champagne-fizzed Rough Love ($13) downstairs at CUT by Wolfgang Puck. It goes down easy, but sip slowly – it's dangerously potent.

7.45pm Cross the atrium to order a Mozza Margarita at Pizzeria Mozza ($9) – it's the refreshing and herb- and spice-forward predecessor to the Raffles' invention. 

8.30pm Shuffle up to Tetsuya's Waku Ghin for a Samurai Mule ($12.50), stirred with sake – and Japanese precision – by bartender Kazuhiro Chii.

Flight Bar and Lounge

9.15pm Aaand Social Hour continues at Flight Bar and Lounge from 9pm to 2am. The #FlightSunset ($11) – made with London gin, elderflower, Aperol, lemon and sugar – is a breezy drink to end the night with as you take in the view of the city skyline. Plus, bottle service after 9pm is 25 percent off, if you want to really go hard, and the cola, soda and juice mixers are all brewed in-house.

Social Hour is at Marina Bay Sands every Tuesday from 6 to 9pm except at Flight Bar and Lounge (9pm-2am) and Club 55 (9am-midnight).
