Well, it’s here again. A brand new year arrives before we’ve even come to terms with the last one. But 2015 isn’t the only thing that’s new. Flip through the pages of this magazine and you’ll notice we’ve had a little makeover. It’s fresher, cleaner and zinging with all the good stuff the month has to offer – just like our revamped website.

They both come right on time for Art Week. More than a hundred events – exhibitions, tours, fairs, and what-have-yous – descend upon our tiny island to make us feel (or pretend to feel) that much more cultured. Gwen Pew sorts out the massive spectacle for you.

And the performing arts also get their 15 minutes, with the M1 Fringe Festival making its annual appearance.

It’s not the only big fest heading our way. St Jerome’s Laneway Festival promises the only day when the snark of tongue and tight of jeans have some non-ironic fun. With a flock of songstresses set to take the stage, find out which one you’re most likely to end up being friends with. Don't miss our ultimate guide to Laneway 2015 to make sure that you have the best festival experience.

So January’s gonna be a huge one. And we’ll be right here, helping you make the most of these 31 days.
