Wolfgang Puck is opening a second restaurant in Singapore

This just in: Wolfgang Puck, the Michelin-starred owner of CUT at the Marina Bay Sands, is opening a follow-up to his plush steakhouse – and it’s the local outpost of his famed Spago restaurants.

The details are still scant, but we know it’ll open later this year at the integrated resort’s Sands SkyPark, on level 57. And we hear that the chef will be offering punters a preview of the new restaurant at MBS’ upcoming Epicurean Market, held from August 14 to 16 this year.

Like CUT, Spago's concept isn't exactly brand new. The fine dining restaurant is the first in the Puck empire, and serves its Californian cuisine with global influences across four locations in Las Vegas, Maui and Colorado. And, now, Singapore. Spago also picked up a James Beard Restaurant of the Year award in 1994, and Michelin stars in 2008 and 2009.

Tickets ($28/three-day pass) for the Marina Bay Sands Epicurean Market are now on sale at SISTIC.
