DBS Marina Regatta

Singapore’s biggest water sports festival returns for two weekends of competition, play and retail. Sign up for the themed dragon boat races, or hit up the pop-up urban beach with 74 tonnes of sand sprawled over 3,100 square metres. Expect stand-up yoga (on paddleboards), zorbing, a kids' kayaking area, plus Southeast Asia's tallest inflatable water slide standing at 16 metres tall. Come evening, drop by the Art Market for homegrown goodies like jewellery, cosmetics and art, or feast on treats such as Asahi Bingsu over at the Chow House food village.

Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris

Sing’theatre brings back the beloved off-Broadway musical revue, Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, which was first staged here in 2008. Twenty-three songs by the late Belgian singer are performed by four actors, each with a mini storyline woven into it. Listen out for classic hits like ‘Le Moribond’, which was translated into ‘Season in the Sun’ and covered by Terry Jacks and Westlife, as well as ‘Ne Me Quitte Pas’, known as ‘If You Go Away’ and made famous by Frank Sinatra.
