Catriona Jeffries is Vancouver's most important contemporary gallery and one of a handful in the city - some would say the only one - to boast an international reputation. Legendary father figure Ian Wallace shows here, as do a host of younger artists with growing worldwide presences: Brian Jungen, Ron Terada, Myfanwy Macleod, Damian Moppett and Geoffrey Farmer. If you want to find out what Vancouver's next generation of ambitious artists are up to, a trip here is essential.

Upon arriving at the Jeffries Gallery the curator tried to impress me by name dropping, I was unimpressed.

The exhibition was a chapter from a book on large canvasses around the empty room. I left as empty as the room. I recommend you visit the public library instead.
