A list of the planet’s very best international restaurants has dropped and one Canadian restaurant made the cut.

Featured on this year’s Food & Wine Global Tastemakers list of Best International Restaurants, 10 standout destinations were chosen not just for technical excellence, but for their distinct perspectives.

To identify the world’s top food and drink experiences for travellers, Food & Wine surveyed more than 400 chefs, travel experts, writers, and wine professionals from around the globe. The results were then reviewed by the Global Advisory Board, which ranked the leading nominees in each category.

What is the best restaurant in the world?

According to the 2026 Food & Wine Global Tastemakers Awards, Ikoyi in London is ranked as the best restaurant in the world, renowned for its spice-based tasting menus.

Oakridge Park is a landmark redevelopment in Vancouver’s Oakridge neighbourhood, bringing together homes, shops, offices, green spaces, and cultural venues in one dynamic district.

Set at the crossroads of West 41st Avenue and Cambie Street (recently ranked one of the coolest streets in the world), Time Out Market sits perfectly between downtown Vancouver and YVR Airport—making it a super easy, convenient stop for locals and visitors.

What is Time Out Market?

Time Out Market is the world's first food and cultural market curated by local experts to bring the best of the city together under one roof. In 2014, a historic market building in Lisbon was turned into the first Time Out Market. Today, there are 13 Markets globally in cities including New York, Montreal, Dubai, Cape Town and Osaka, with more to come – the execution of each is distinctly local to give a true taste of the city it is in. The Vancouver location marks the second Time Out Market in Canada.
