A classic Vancouver luxury hotel since 1930, the Bayshore had the first high-end hotel restaurant in town, Trader Vic's (now the more casual Seawall Bar and Grill). It feels like a holiday resort in the midst of the city, with its West Coast modernist architecture and heated outdoor pool looking out to sea. Howard Hughes, Prince Charles and Tina Turner have all stayed. The Bayshore now features the 'Heavenly Bed', made up of a bespoke pillow-top mattress, down duvet, crisp sheets and five plush pillows. They also have a free shuttle service, a hair salon, boat rentals and golfing packages.
