If there is one store that sums up the pioneering spirit, raging entrepreneurialism, health obsession, body perfectionism and anti-establishmentarianism of Vancouver, this is it. And the rest of the world is catching on too. The Lululemon 'athleisure' empire has now reached California, Asia and beyond, with its colourful, comfortable men's and womenswear. This, its first location, has spawned a number of competitors on W 4th Avenue, plus a sister store for sustainable wear, Oqoqo, at no.2123 (604 732 6188).
