Regent Arcade has a chequered history, occupying part of the glamorous old Regent Theatre (1928) on Rundle Mall. Larry & Ladd coffee shop is a recent addition, rubbing shoulders with boutiques, jewellers and tailors.
The Regent Theatre shut up shop in 1967, its innards converted into today’s arcade, snaking through to Grenfell Street. But there was nowhere to get a decent coffee here until now: Larry & Ladd delivers fiendishly good caffeine, toasted sandwiches, panini, pastries and lunchtime soups. The CBD office crowd can’t get enough.
