Ciao, bella: Adelaide’s authentic Italian is doling out bowls of pasta and an effortless sense of style
Pirie Street was going off in the 1980s, then it went quiet. And now it’s back again, with a slew of new cafés and Osteria Oggi’s Italian, open from lunch till late. Fresh pasta is top of the list here (go the blue swimmer crab tagliatelle with blackened corn for the win), but Oggi isn’t afraid to push the envelope with adventurous ingredients like veal tongue, braised rabbit and roasted bone marrow. Interior design is predictably gorgeous, with more curves than Sophia Loren.
