Time Out says
What is it? It's a blank space, that's what. This versatile theatre inside the Adelaide Festival Centre complex is one of its most adaptable. Seriously, the stage can be anywhere in the room; the seats aren't fixed; and the rigging across the ceiling means lights, cameras, mirror balls and lasers can be strung up any which way you fancy. What this means is that you never know what you'll be seeing at the Space Theatre. It could be a traditional stage-front production, or perhaps a cabaret show with wine-bar tables for the audience. A DJ could be dropping the beat to sweaty EDM fans or interpretive dance could be spinning across the floor – anything goes in the Space Theatre.
