Day Club & Motez are proud to present Day Club 0004 - an afternoon cellar door party with some of Adelaide best musicians and wine - raising money for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre December 3rd 2016 from 3pm at Alpha Box & Dice Winery, McLaren Vale, SA.

One of Australia’s most prominent electronic music producers, Motez, is celebrating his 10th anniversary of immigrating to Adelaide from Iraq. Earlier this year, Motez' Facebook post about his experiences growing up in his home country and the current refugee crisis went viral, sparking nationwide discussion on Australia’s situation regarding people seeking asylum.

Off the back of this emotional response, Motez reached out to his friends at Day Club in Adelaide. His aim was to host an event to raise funds for the institution he feels so passionately about: The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and this came as no surprise given his personal experiences as a refugee and asylum seeker.

“I feel that we need to tackle the issue of people seeking asylum in a more positive way and help out as much as we can. I feel like it is time we not only need celebrate those who came, and are coming, to Australia to find a new and better life, but also celebrate our beautiful city of Adelaide in the heart of the one of the best wine regions in the world. We want to generate as much money possible to support ASRC as they play, in my opinion, a vital role in helping those seeking asylum and resettling in Australia" - Motez

Motez & Day Club in conjunction with ASRC, Novatech and Fresh927 are very proud to present Day Club 0004. Featuring performances from Motez, Stigwood Fellowship recipients Flamingo, and Meryl Creep. Hosted by Ryley from Fresh927, Australia’s largest community broadcaster. The fundraiser will be held at Alpha Box & Dice Winery, McLaren Vale, on Saturday December 3rd from 3pm til sunset. All proceeds will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. Tickets are on sale now at www.dayclub.com.au
