Dive Discovery Day Search & Recovery Monday 13 June says
Join Adelaide Scuba for a day of new discoveries and get involved in 'Adelaide Scuba 3D'. An Adelaide Scuba initiative designed to Demo, Dive & Discover the adventure of SCUBA.

Try your hand at Search & Recovery diving and learn the basics in search patterns, lifting techniques including knot tying, lift bag procedures and simple object drafting.

It happens: People accidentally drop things from docks, off boats or even while scuba diving. If you’ve ever lost something in the water and wanted to go find it, then knowing the basics in Search and Recovery diving is a must. There are effective ways to search for objects underwater that increase your chances of success. As well as methods to bring up small, large or just awkward items. Search & Recovery can be challenging, but a whole lot of fun.

The day will begin with a short land based workshop before we hit the dive pool for some skills practice underwater, once we've mastered some basic techniques in the confines of the pool we'll jump onboard 'Seahorse' our 42' dive boat and head to the ocean for an exploration dive to a local reef where we hear some objects have been lost.

The day will be hosted and fully guided by our team of dive professionals with Josh D'Ambrosio (PADI Master Instructor & GUE Instructor) leading the event. Our dive team have successfully completed many Search & Recovery dives finding an array of fascinating objects in both shallow water and some deeper waters beyond 40 metres.

Whats Required: All you need is to have an Open Water certification and a sense of adventure, participant statements will be required to be completed on the day with a standard RSTC Dive Medical also needed. If 'NO' is answered on all questions you are OK to participate. If 'YES' is answered on the form, a full SPUMS diving medical will be required prior to workshop commencement. Please contact the team for further queries.

Cost: The cost for the day will be $120 per person covering boat fees, cylinder &/or equipment hire (if required), gas (AIR or NITROX32%), professional guide fees and learning materials.

To bring the event to a close we will be providing a social BBQ for all participants to attend held on the Adelaide Scuba Marina Deck at Glenelg North.

Bookings are essential and places are limited. Please call 82947744 or come in store & speak with the team to secure your place.
