WasteLand represents the brainchild of West Australian born producer Matt Riley. Over the years he has established himself as a unique and versatile DJ/Producer, going above and beyond the normal realm of a DJ set.
For WasteLand, merely playing other artist's music wasn't enough, as he leapt forward into the world of production. Over the years his productions have gained in popularity, being played by many international touring artists, including Avicii, Afrojack, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Sander Van Doorn, and Deniz Koyu. Avicii has been one of WasteLand’s biggest supporters, having played his music all over the world, from Ultra Music Festival in Miami, to Summurburst in Sweden and everywhere in between. WasteLand’s energetic and fast paced set's are a large part of his rapidly growing popularity and success, as no matter what the situation he always maintains the ability to entertain the crowd put in front of him.
In the last couple of years as WasteLand’s popularity has increased, so have the caliber of events he has been involved with. After signing with Australian booking agency 360, he has started touring parts of Australia, as well as headlining and playing mainstages at both Stereosonic and Goodlife festivals in the 2014/2015-summer period. He has also been selected to support artists such as Hardwell, Angger Dimas, Tommy Trash, Tom Piper, Oliver Twizt, and Hook n Sling to name a few.
WasteLand’s music has received international support through BBC radio 1, with his productions making their way into the hands of acclaimed presenter Danny Howard. The summer is looking bright for WasteLand, with a plethora of high profile originals coming out, as well as upcoming mainstage sets at Stereosonic, Pride Fesstival and Oktoberfest.
