For those who idealize the freedom and spontaneity of the all-American road trip, this exhibition will likely inspire an impromptu getaway. It highlights photographers who view the road as an inspiration and whose post–World War II photos documented the evolution of American car culture, as well as the concept of the open road and its importance throughout history.
