Liberal Austin Democrats Meeting, Featuring Texas Democratic Party Executive Director Crystal Perkins

Please join us for the Liberal Austin Democrats monthly meeting with our special guest speaker newly hired Executive Director Crystal Perkins with the Texas Democratic Party. Perkins will discuss plans to continue building the Texas Democratic Party with a focus on electing Democrats in 2016. Crystal Perkins began as the Executive Director of the Texas Democratic Party in February of 2015. A native of San Antonio, TX, and veteran of numerous statewide and local campaigns, Crystal Perkins returns to Texas after serving as the National Financial Director for Mark Schauer for Governor of Michigan. Crystal worked in numerous states for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and on campaigns in Texas, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Michigan. She graduated from Texas State University. Socializing starts at 6:30 p.m. Meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. This will be an excellent opportunity to meet the new Executive Director and learn more about what the Texas Democratic Party is planning.
