Enjoy live music and interested in learning about social innovations working on problems you care about and sustainable food? This event is for you!

Our focus: Food Security.
Our mission: reinventing food systems, achieving #zerohunger, healthier people, and a healthier planet.
- 850 million people around the world suffer from under-nutrition, yet..
- 1.2 billion people are overweight or obese.
- 1.3 billion tons of food are wasted each year - meaning that 30% of the total worldwide annual production is wasted.

Our system is in crisis, but we have the power to take action.

MakeSense has just launched a global mobilization campaign to bring together experts, volunteers, artists and other actors who are ready to create change, from our farms to our tables.
Are you ready to be part of the solution?

After Paris, Dakar and Lima, join us on Saturday, April 16 in Austin, TX at Pearl St Coop (2000 Pearl St, 78705 Austin) for an informal talk with inspiring social entrepreneurs and fantastic live music. We will focus on food production and recycling solutions, discovering inspiring solutions in these areas thanks to the great social entrepreneurs who will take part of the talk.

Our guests will be:

♫ Guest Artists: Leach, Austin Burns (Musician) & Shannon Brielle.

► Nico Graham, from Food is Free Project in Austin, that brings communities together to build garden beds in their front yards and share it with anyone who need it.

► Dustin Fedako, Founder of Compost Pedallers, a 100% bike-powered compost recycling program in Austin that collects compostables and pedals them directly to nearby urban farms.

► Ryan Sansbury, co-Founder of Logro Farms, which developed a unique farming system that utilizes fungi to transform local agricultural byproducts into healthy and delicious food for its customers.

► Sarah Munir, CEO & co-Founder of EdiBags, that reduces both food and plastic waste by forming an edible sandwich bag from cosmetically damaged produce that are otherwise thrown away.

This panel discussion and concert event is completely free!
