Yes yes y'all! The #PeoplesParty #FiestaPopular is back! Bring your fam, your babies, your puños, your energy and your hunger for another installment of movement-music, dance, and autonomously organized music that celebrates our existence and foregrounds our voices. This year we have artists from NYC, Philly, DC, Denver, LA, y OK, junto con local Texas and Austin-based acts and some delicious home-made tamales y otros antojitos for you from Conjunto Contigo. As usual, this year's party is a fundraiser for an exciting community-driven project, Youth Rise Texas - a new youth leadership development and organizing project that will launch in the summer of 2015 that will organize teens to fight back against immigrant detention and the private prison industry. We know that Travis County deports #19toomany immigrants every week, including the week of #SXSW, and we gonna continue to #fightback, but we aren't having no kind of revolution if we can't dance.
