National Adjunct Action/Awareness Week

The Texas State Employees Union and adjuncts all over the country will take advantage of this time to bring attention to the plight of adjuncts. There are shared goals and concerns to be certain, but exactly how adjuncts use the day or week is to be determined by each adjunct, group, or campus. Here at the University of Texas at Austin, the Texas State Employees Union will be holding a Teach-In at the West Mall from 12pm to 1pm. *We are looking for adjuncts* to speak out next Wednesday as well as *graduate students* who could easily fall into this category of future employment. We are also encouraging students who care about dignity and pay levels of their educators to join us. The way we are honoring the National Adjunct Action/Awareness Week is NOT by walking out but putting a spotlight on this issue by educating our community.
