Nathan returns to Austin for another round of Standing Acrobatic work, and this time he's bringing his Pint Sized Partner, Isis, with him. For those of you who attended Go Big! in January, it's going to be more of the same. Except this time, it's personal. We're going to be turning it up a notch and will continue to work on the previous material (inlocates, pitches, standing hand to hand) as well as expanding your standing acrobatic knowledge with new and exciting tips, tricks, and techniques. Didn't come last time? Jealous of all the things you missed out on? Don't worry! The previous workshop is not a prerequisite for this one. We will build all the standing technique from the ground up. Didn't come last time because you thought the material was intimidating? Or you just started out and want to learn how all this upsidedown-shenanigans works? We got you bro. This time around we will also be doing a beginners series. Starting right from the bottom and building you up, we'll take you from acro-no-gi to someone entirely capable and competent. That's a guarantee. Beginner: L-Basing Sequences - designed to teach you important acrobatic elements. Ain't no rest positions here brah. Handstands and Acrobatics - Turn that frown upside down. High Bird - "That's a beginner element?!" I hear you cry, well yes. It can and it will be. Standing on Shoulders - Nanos Gigantum Humeris Insidentes. That's Latin. That's how fancy we are. ****Beginner Workshop Info**** Price : Both days $100, One day $60 Times : Saturday Morning 10-12; Sunday Morning 10-1 Prereqs : None. Everyone from complete beginners are welcome. Advanced practitioners will find information to help refine their existing technique. Day Info : As part of his work with England’s National Centre for Circus Arts Nathan helped develop a curriculum for pairs acrobatics to help streamline students learning and progression. On Saturday we will be looking at Handstands, handstands exercises and basic acrobatics as well as beginning work on the L-Basing sequences designed to teach you key acrobatic concepts and fundamentals. On Sunday we will continue with handstands and the L-Basing sequences as well as adding basic standing acrobatic work. ****Advanced Workshop Info**** Price : Both days $125, One day $75 Times : Saturday Afternoon 3-5, 6-8; Sunday Afternoon 2-4, 5-7, 730-830 Prereqs : Same as Go Big!'s... Must be able to comfortably base or fly... ● Standing high bird for 10 seconds ● L-base low foot to hand for 10 seconds ● Flyers should be able to hold a handstand for 15-20 seconds with a spot Day Info : Day 1 : We will be covering Handstands and Acrobatics, Strength and Flexibility, Inlocates, Standing Hand to Hand and other mounts to Hand to Hand. Day 2 : Will be focused on continuing our work on inlocates and hand to hand, pitches to reverse foot to hand and foot to hand, and this time around we will be working on Banquine, a trios technique involving two bases throwing and catching a flyer.
