Time Out says

Assalaamu Alaikum, Peace and Blessings be upon you, In light of the recent tragedy against North Carolina Muslim students whose lives were taken, we hope you join us in remembering and honoring their memory. Deah Barakat, 23, was a second-year student at the University of North Carolina’s School of Dentistry; his wife, Yusor Mohammad Abu-Salha, 21, was set to enroll there in the fall. The third victim was her 19-year-old sister, Razan, a student at nearby North Carolina State University in Raleigh. Therefore, we will be hosting a candle light vigil standing in solidarity with the Muslim community at Chapel Hill. The event will be composed of prayers, speeches, and a moment of silence for the victims, families, and the community impacted by their loss. This calamity hurts not only the Chapel Hill community, but impacts a diversity of communities nationwide. We want to let the Chapel Hill community know that #TexasforChapelHill is our mission. We will have candles and posters at the event to support the victims and their families. If you do bring your own materials, please use best judgement and consideration when creating signs and visuals. We hope to see you there. *** We will be collecting notes and cards to ship to the Barakat & Abu-Salha families in Chapel Hill. You're welcome to bring your own messages of condolences. Addendum #1: For our off campus visitors, parking is available along University, 21st street, and along Guadalupe. Further parking arrangements are TBD! Addendum #2: If you are a speaker, you can join us around 6:45! #OurThreeWinners #ChapelHillShooting #TexasforChapelHill
