The Lettermen is an American male pop music vocal trio whose trademark is close-harmony pop songs with light arrangements. The group started in 1959 and has garnered an incredible 16 Top Ten Singles (including the number one remake of “When I Fall In Love”), 32 consecutive Billboard Magazine Chart albums, 11 Gold records and five GRAMMY nominations. Their other hits include “Theme From 'A Summer Place’,” “Goin' Out of My Head/Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” and “Hurt So Bad.” The Letterman’s signature sound made romantic standards of songs such as “Smile”, “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, “Shangri-La” and “Love”. They have performed with such as icons as with Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, Bob Hope and Bill Cosby. The current lineup is founding member Tony Butala and veteran members Donovan Tea and Bobby Poynton.
