USBG Austin President & 2015 U.S. national Bacardi Legacy finalist, Jessica Sanders, is proud to host a unique cocktail lab for USBG members & industry pros - "The Science & Psychology of Authentic Service" (a.k.a. 'Hospitality for the Non-Smiley') THURSDAY, FEB 12th WeatherUp (1808 East Cesar Chavez) 1PM-2PM: USBG Meeting & Legacy Presentation 2pm-4pm: TRADE HAPPY HOUR RSVP: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1L5RYJ9SrdNcb4k13EGuEwo1Z6PovAms1A8p5WKzydok/viewform Come enjoy Jessica's qualifying cocktail "La Grandiflora" and participate in what should be a very engaging afternoon as she prepares for the national finals in Miami, taking place on Feb. 23rd. About the Seminar: As part of this year's Legacy competition each of the 9 finalists were tasked with creating & delivering an educational program for their community around a topic that speaks to their Legacy cocktail narrative. Utilizing research, data & anecdotes collected from psychologists, neuroscientists, yogis and thought leaders, we'll examine how to create a service philosophy that honors your craft and yet still feels authentically "you". We'll look at how traits such as vulnerability, compassion, whole-heartedness and untamed innovation can create a more dynamic connection with your colleagues & guests. How do you train people to care more? What is that "thing" that some people have that allows them to connect so easily with guests? Is there a science to great service? What will YOUR legacy be as a hospitality professional? Complimentary Bacardi cocktails and delicious bites from the WeatherUp kitchen will be served during the seminar. Discounted cocktails to follow during an industry happy hour. Open to USBG members & trade professionals.
