Its that time again! What time you ask? the HAAAY RIDE!!!

This is one of our oldest theme rides, and every year it gets better. So put on your finest western wear, hop on your bike and get ready for the most epic of epics, the most dirty of dancing, the drinkiest of drinks, and the grooviest of grooves.

After we ride around town in our FINEST WESTERN WEAR we will land at Rain, a fine establishment that caters to the gay community. They are providing some nice drink specials and probably the craziest after ride party of the year. Special thanks to them for having us. These are some really nice people who are supporting biking in Austin. Please thank them for having us when we get there.

We will meet up at Festival Beach for some social time and plan to leave around 8. Be warned we may leave early if there are any uninvited guests at the meet-up spot! So be sure to have a friend's number if you plan to arrive late.

What you should bring: Lights, Locks, ID, and Cash

Social Cycling Austin rides AS traffic and NOT AGAINST it. We stop at red lights, yield the right of way and let cars pass as best we can. We don't block intersections. We are nice to both our fellow riders and the other traffic on the road. LISTEN TO the volunteers helping to lead the ride. They are some nice folks and have you best interest in mind. If you have any questions about the rules, I suggest you check here:

REMINDER: The goal has always been to create a safe environment for all riders, but we cannot control, nor do we desire to, every rider's behavior. We promote personal responsibility, and it is each rider's responsibility to take care of themselves, and if they choose to ride with us, then they accept those risks inherent in riding a bicycle with a large group of other people riding bicycles.
