Time Out says

Wednesday, March 18, 6-10p These wearable treasures are found in Scandinavia and date back as far as the 8th century. Vikings would melt down coins, and using a looping technique, would make necklaces, bracelets and earrings. We will replicate this technique with the use of a wooden dowel, wire, a draw plate to create a necklace. A draw plate will allow you to manipulate the length and width of your chain. Once you learn this fun technique you can take it to the next level by experimenting with thicker or thinner gauges, various colors and types of wire. We will finish the class by securing the ends of your chain by adding caps and clasps. Come and make something beautiful! Looking for your next step? Check out our Metal for Beaders class and learn to incorporate hand-made findings to strengthen the quality and integrity of your work. Tuition: $95 + $30 Materials Fee
