Fine dining is an art form in itself. Plates become palettes for smears of gel and puree, ribboned vegetables, finely sliced meats and a confetti of condiments, creating an edible masterpiece that looks too good to eat – almost. Now, a brand-new multisensory dining experience is launching in Brisbane and Melbourne, bringing art and gastronomy together in a whole new way. You can quite literally dine alongside seven of the world’s most famous artists, with their masterpieces projected across the table and mirrored on your plate.

Originating in Dubai and having wowed diners all across Europe, 7 Paintings is far from your average dinner date. State-of-the-art projection mapping will transform each table into a living canvas for the world’s most iconic masterpieces, meaning you can admire them and eat them at the same time. Talk about dinner and a show!

As diners move through the seven courses, they’ll travel across centuries – from a delicate olive, stracciatella and charcoal tartlet echoing the refined drama of Michelangelo, to a bold, edible vegetable painting recreating Jackson Pollock's iconic drip technique, and a playful crème brûlée inspired by the dreamlike surrealism of Salvador Dalí. Throughout the experience, guests can expect to paint, solve riddles and fully immerse themselves in the story and emotion behind each artwork.

Launching on February, 7 Paintings will be hosted at Brisbane Sofitel Central's Bistro Suzette and in Melbourne's Rendezvous Hotel at Mr Tomplins. Alongside the classic menu, there’s a fully plant-based option and even a children’s menu, so everyone can join in. The multisensory dining experience runs until June 2026, with tickets from $175 per person.
