Left something at Brisbane Airport? It could be yours again… for $1. Every year, more than 70,000 passengers pass through Australia’s third-busiest airport, and with so many travellers, it’s no wonder that the airport’s lost property vault is full of treasures. Now, many of these unclaimed valuables are up for grabs in Brisbane Airport’s largest-ever lost property auction – with all proceeds going to charity.

So, what treasures are up for grabs? The 2025 auction features more than 800 items, from luxury jewellery, laptops and cameras to surfboards, scooters and designer handbags. The crown jewel is a stunning Bvlgari 18K gold diamond necklace valued at $11,000, alongside exclusive experiences like a private airside tour of Brisbane Airport, 12 months of free parking, and special packages from the Brisbane Lions and Brisbane Heat.

To celebrate Brisbane Airport’s 100th anniversary, this year’s bidding war includes a special collection of heritage aviation memorabilia. Plane enthusiasts can bid on a rare piece of Queensland’s aviation history, including the International Terminal Departure sign, old plane seats, and a black box and cockpit voice recorder from a decommissioned aircraft.

All proceeds will be donated to Queensland children's charities, aiming to surpass last year’s $90,000 raised. Bidding is now open online and will close on Sunday, November 2. To commemorate Brisbane Airport’s centenary, the auction will be hosted live at the Lloyds Brisbane Auction Centre in Acacia Ridge – but you can also tune in via livestream on the Lloyds website from 10am AEST on November 2. Happy bidding!
