Like the Olympics, this global rugby union showdown rolls around every four years, with the next tournament scheduled for October and November 2027. Even better? Australia will host the biggest competition to date – the first-ever to feature 24 teams (up from 20), including the Wallabies, All Blacks, Springboks and Les Bleus.

How to get tickets to the Rugby World Cup 2027?
The first wave of general tickets for all Rugby World Cup 2027 matches will go on sale in February 2026, following the release of the match schedule in January 2026. To access this pre-sale, you’ll need to register on the RWC website before the end of January 2026.
The second batch of tickets will go live in May 2026. Fans around the world will have the chance to apply for tickets via a ballot system. There will be a three-week application period designed to keep things fair, especially for high-demand price categories that are expected to sell out fast.

From July 30, 2025, mega fans can purchase premium packages that bundle tickets with world-class hospitality and immersive experiences across eight of the best matches, including the opening match and the Rugby World Cup final.
For those who can't bear to miss a match, a brand-new Superfan Pass will be released at 2pm (AEST) on August 5, 2025 via the official website. The pass will give you the chance to buy up to four tickets per match for any of the RWC's 52 matches, including the opening match in Perth and the grand final in Sydney. Superfans also score exclusive early access to tickets, with a total limit of 52 tickets across the whole tournament. But act fast — only 2,027 Superfan Passes will be released at $750 (not including the price of match tickets).
