When is the World Cup 2026?

The 2026 World Cup starts on Friday, June 11 and runs for six weeks, ending with the grand final on Sunday, July 19.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being co-hosted across North America by three nations: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This marks the first time it’s been hosted by three different countries, with 48 teams competing across 16 host cities.

Soccer fans can watch every game live on free-to-air television via SBS and SBS Viceland. You can also stream it on your phone, laptop or smart TV via SBS On Demand, with full match replays available after each match.

When is Australia playing in the World Cup?

The Socceroos (ranked 27th) are competing in Group D, which is arguably one of the most competitive, featuring the USA (ranked 16th), Turkey (22nd) and Paraguay (40th). Game times include:
