Snag 225,000 discounted fares across Jetstar’s entire domestic and international network

It might not feel like it in this day and age, but $40 still goes surprisingly far if you know where to look. Think two Cheap Tuesday movie tickets, a pub meal deal and a pint, or even a trip to Byron Bay. That’s if you jump on Jetstar’s latest sale, which is offering 225,000 cheap fares across its entire global network from just $34 – leaving you $6 for a box of Pringles, a loaded cookie or a spiced chai on board.
Jetstar’s ‘Get Onboard Sale’ kicks off today (Wednesday, August 19), with Club Jetstar members scoring 12 hours of exclusive access from 12pm AEST before general public fares unlock at midnight. The sale wraps up at 11.59pm on Monday, August 24, but we predict seats will disappear fast.
Every single route on the Jetstar network is discounted, starting with super-cheap domestic fares from $34 between Sydney and Ballina (Byron Bay). You can also score $39 flights from Adelaide to Melbourne (Avalon), $50 fares from Sydney (Western Sydney) to the Gold Coast, $90 seats from Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Hervey Bay, and $95 flights from Sydney to Cairns. Internationally, Aussies can score one-way tickets to Bali, Hamilton and Phuket for less than $200, or to Christchurch, Rarotonga, Osaka and Colombo (Sri Lanka) for less than $320.
Last month, Jetstar announced it’s scrapping its seven-kilogram carry-on weight limit and introducing a new overhead baggage fee – taking effect from February 2027. That means sale flights booked for travel up until February 2 will still include the usual carry-on baggage, while those booked between February and June 2027 will cover one free under-seat bag (up to ten kilograms) – with larger overhead locker access available as a 'Priority Carry-on' add-on.
