What is it? Titled This Moment: Highlights from the White Rabbit Collection of Chinese Contemporary Art, HOTA's latest exhibition features works from the world's biggest collections of 21st-century Chinese art. It's on now until October 11, 2026.
Why go? Sydney’s non-profit White Rabbit Gallery is home to Australia's most impressive 21st-century Chinese art collection – and now, it’s arrived on the Gold Coast. Inspired by the 2009 poem titled ‘This Moment’ by Chinese experimental poet/musician Yan Jun, this exclusive exhibition features 35 daring and experimental works from 25 artists created over the last 25 years. Expect mesmerising light-based installations, powerful video art, large-scale sculptures and striking paintings – each challenging history and leaving its mark on your psyche.
