8 cos enganxat

Alex Francés (Valencia, 1962) is an artist who has worked for over 20 years in achieving a collection of work that speaks to the meaning and function of the image in relation to the body using different techniques of representation. In '8 cos enganxat', he not only makes reference to the body ('cos' in Catalan), but also creates a collection of objects-images-organs. The exhibition addresses the process of weaving a body and developing its own grammar. The works are created mainly with the blind in mind – they're pieces that don't rely wholly on the sense of sight, works that promote the development of cognitive maps created for the intellect.
