Owner of the label Timedance, Batu, has created a singular sound in a surprisingly short period of time since his debut on Cold Recordings (Pinch's label) in 2013. Following other 12" releases for Livity Sound, Hessle Audio and Timedance, Batu continues pushing the limits of British bass, and landing Bristol firmly in the centre of global music culture. After a critically acclaimed 2016, he had a notable 2017 with productions for Timedance and Hessle Audio, and he recently did an official remix for Sampha on Young Turks. 'Mixmag' named Batu one of the 20 best DJs of 2017, and 'The Guardian' called him one of the talents to watch in 2018.
For his part, Ploy made his debut in 2016 on Ben UFO's label Hessle Audio, and in 2017 he released another EP with Hemlock Recordings, this one chosen as one of the best of last year. This year he returned to Hessle Audio with another EP and parties around the world. Recently he released the 'Ramos EP' on Timedance.
And Bézier, who's on in Sala Lolita, is Robert Yang, a Taiwanese-American musician based in San Francisco and original member of the Honey Soundsystem team. This multi-instrumentalist grew up in Southern California and later moved up to San Francisco in 2005, where he built an impressive studio based on analog synthesizers, which also serves as a creative centre for his fascinating live shows. In recent years, Bézier's DJ sessions and live shows have taken him around cities in the USA, Europe and Asia.
