At 45, Irish musician Glen Hansard has paved a solid career for himself which took off in 1991 when, to recover from the commercial failure of his band The Frames, he accepted a role in the Alan Parker film 'The Commitments'. Since then his name has been associated with an inspired singer-songwriter capable of both creating fiery songs influenced by grunge and penning intimate sounds of folk.
