Alba Guerrero presents 'Seda y esparto' ('Silk and straw'), the first solo work for the established 'cantaora', giving an example of flamenco in Catalonia. The album unites classic flamenco with original tracks. Its title refers to the various possibilites for flamenco singers, from the smoothness of silk to the roughness of straw. On this debut album, Guerrero has had the chance to compose, arrange and adapt nine of the record's songs, and worked in collaboration with musicians such as Carles Dénia and Juan Carlos Gómez. She'll be accompanied during her concert by cantaora Rocío Márquez as a special guest; Paco Garfi and Alberto Fernández on guitar; David Domínguez on percussion; and Lucas Balbo and Sergio Quesada with flamenco 'palmas' hand clapping.
