La Mercè 2016: Opening speech and ceremony

Javier Pérez Andújar, a writer born in Catalonia and who relocated to Andalusia, gives the opening speech ('pregó') to this year's La Mercè in Plaça de Sant Jaume before the inaugural parade of the court and the 'toc d'inici', when the beasts head through the main door of the City Hall to perform their special traditional dances, to the sound of the music by Ministrils del Camí Ral. Afterwards you'll see the projected show 'Colorama'.
