Maslenitsa: Farewell to winter

The Casa de Rusia Foundation in Barcelona brings us Maslenitsa, one of the oldest celebrations in Russia. It's a party for the whole family, where you can get to know the Russian custom of bidding farewell to winter and welcoming spring. Enjoy the traditional group Vësnushka as well as blinis, and sweet and savoury crepes. Crepes are an important part of this festival, as they represent the sun of the arriving season. Join in on the fun, food and dancing.
