Time Out says
In the east, the Colosseum built in 1924 from a stable for the horses that pulled the first trams, was restored by the Soviets to become the finest cinema in East Berlin. Although it was turned into a multiplex in the late 1990s, the original auditorium is still in use, restored to 1950s splendour. In the lobby you can see the original brick walls of the stables, complete with the rings used to tie up the horses.
