Activism After Hours | Why Human Rights Matter
More Less
Amnesty International (Queensland/Northern New South Wales) says
Everyday we witness human rights abuses, both in Australia and abroad. Abuses against refugees on Manus and Nauru and Indigenous kids in Don Dale and Cleveland youth detention centers. People across the globe imprisoned, tortured, and executed by their governments simply because of who they are, or who they love.

That's why Activism After Hours this month will focus on why human rights matter, and what we can do to ensure people's rights are respected, here and overseas.

Join us on Thursday the 13th of October for some drinks and a bit of discussion, and discover what you can do to end human rights violations, from right here in Brisbane.

Activism After Hours is a series of events hosted by Amnesty International during which people interested in human rights can come together, in a social setting, and create change for human rights.
