Andrea Kirwin

Andrea Kirwin is a singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast with Australian Fijian roots. Andrea Kirwin weaves melodies and storytelling together to create a rich tapestry, much like the way her Fijian grandmother used to weave pandanus mats in the village. Each song is crafted in a way that allows the listener to subtly enter into the space between words and really experience the story, whether it be a love story or a song about letting go.

Andrea’s music crosses into various contemporary genres including hip-hop, folk, funk and soul; however, it is her smooth laid-back vocal tones that make each song come alive. Her voice has been likened to Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, India Arie and Joan Armatrading to name a few.

Andrea Kirwin is truly an independent Australian artist having self-produced 2 albums under her own record label, Peace Run Records. Always willing to share her songs and stories, Andrea Kirwin has performed all around the country, from some of the smallest cafes and bars in country towns, to big music festivals such as The Woodford Folk Festival, Palm Creek Folk Festival and Wintermoon in 2015. She is one of Australia’s hidden gems, and has recently released her 2nd Album, The Story of Us, and completed an East Coast Tour between the Sunshine Coast and Canberra.
