About First Person Singular
Wellington, NZ is a wonderful place to live. Growing up in the 60s and 70s was idyllic. You lived with people you loved, you worked, you knew the whole city. Life was great - until you were raped by a gang led by your best friend's fiance. What would you do?

People will believe in someone who means something to them. Toni tried to tell her best friend about the rape, but no one would believe her? Her friends turned against her and she couldn’t face her future, so she ran.

Landing in Brisbane, Toni found a different, wonderful city, a city that made her feel good again. She worked, she lived, and she dated a very nice new guy.

But soon her past would catch up with her. The best friend who had turned against her in Wellington, ends up in Brisbane, on Toni's doorstep with a broken arm and a request to stay. Her husband isn't far behind, and soon Toni has to deal with seeing the man who led the assault on her, the same man who'd freshly broken his wife's arm and was on the path for revenge.

Can Toni survive a second encounter with her attacker and restore peace to her life?
