Frank Sultana And The Sinister Kids At The Bearded Lady says
With influences ranging from Son House and Skip James, through to Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones, as well as more contemporary artists like Tom Waits and Nick Cave, Frank Sultana dwells comfortably in this vintage stylistic world, where the song is still king, and nothing beats a great story... His band, the Sinister Kids, are much like a family of transient musicians, and can vary on stage from Frank and a backing singer, to a 9 peice band..At its core, however are 4 talented young artists...From the sultry backing vocals of Jaz Ruggieri, and Alyce Schulte, to the dirty slide guitar, and harp of Lyall Moloney, and the blues rythmn section that is drummer Simon Panucci and bassist Nath Boaden, the Sinister Kids provide a vintage backdrop for Frank's primitive electric guitar tones and soulfull , whiskey drenched voice. Over the last 12 to 18 months, Frank Sultana and the Sinister Kids have been gaining notoriety as an explosive live act, regularly playing some of the best rooms in Sydney and Melbourne, and have been 'discovered' by many a punter, when opening for the likes of the Snowdroppers, Mojo Juju, Brothers Grim, Kira Puru and the Bruise, Graveyard Train, Blackwater Fever and The Fumes amongst others.

Local support are Swamp Gully Howlers and The Blackwater Fever.

$10 entry on the door.
