O.J. Mengel
Mengel Music is the alliterative force of brothers Oliver and Jordan, two artists steeped in the mystic lore of the bedroom singer-songwriting condition. Life-long musicians, the duo have roots in grunge, folk, country and indie rock; the resulting vibrations, an aromatic blend of neo-hippyism, motown-pop hooks and haunting gospel lyrical performances. Since debuting in early 2015, the brothers have found a tangible comfort that is shared with an audience which has reacted with greater and greater enthusiasm and numbers. Individually, Oliver recently won the opportunity to play in the Indie 100 and Jordan has been nominated for QMA’s Best Young Songwriter. Mengel Music wishes peace upon all. Influences include but are not limited too: The Beach Boys, Vapowave, Sufjan Stevens, Mac de Marco, Sun Kil Moon, Nihilism and the teachings of the Dalai Lama.
