Museum of Brisbane says
Let your imagination be inspired by the moon and a raft of crafty materials as you create your own lantern as a celebration of peace, prosperity and family in our hands-on workshop.

The Mood Festival is celebrated on the 8th month and the 15th day of the lunar calendar and is one the most important festivals in Chinese and Taiwanese traditions. Symbolised by supposedly the brightest and fullest full moon on the year, the Moon Festival is a time to celebrate peace, prosperity and family.

Over the September school holidays let your family’s imagination be inspired by the Moon Festival and a raft of crafty materials in our hands on workshop as you create your own lantern to take home as a celebration of this colourful tradition.

This workshop is open Monday – Friday 10am – 1pm for the September school holidays.
Suitable for children aged 4+
