Recognised for her honest powerful song writing, genuine stage presence and relaxed vibe, Nikolaine has played shows that have portrayed her dynamic style to be subtle and delicate to loud and raunchy with a rounded edge. With her booming vocals and indelible musicianship, she connects deeply with you through her lyrics and music. Influenced by Phil Manning, Marshall O’kell, BBKing, The Wailers, Juzzy Smith and Hussy Hicks.

This Australian alternative roots artist has her own guitar style, has been compared to likes of John Butler, Bob Brozman, as well as playing jazz/blues piano, ranging genres from reggae, roots, folk, and blues, with high-powered tunes that have you jumping one second and then have you listening intently the next. Delivers you songs written from her deepest experiences dealing with love, loss, sex & soulful release, to uplifting ones spirit.

Since playing around Northern Rivers in early teens, she has performed across the stage at Bluesfest 2005 with opening band Bypass, The Brisbane Powerhouse and Valley Fiesta, The New Globe Theatre, Beach Hotel, Lennox Head Hotel, to name a few. Invited to play alongside many blues jam artists, and has supported artists including Julia Rose, Hussy Hicks, Kristy Apps, Lani & Lecia, Connor Cleary, Felicity Burdett, Felicity Lawless, Anarchist Duck.

Nikolaine was nominated in the Queensland Queens Ball awards for artist of the year, 2014 and 2015 along with winner Julia Rose and nominee Kristy Apps.
