Hailing from the heart of Brisbane, The Cairos may be a name you are familiar with. Last year saw the trio releasing their debut album Dream Of Reason on Island/Universal to wide acclaim.

Flash forward to 2015 and after amicably parting from their label and with two hands firmly on the creative wheel, the band are back with their highly anticipated, self released, new single Love Don’t Feel Right.

Given the bands recent history, including a packed show at CMJ in New York, sold-out shows with Mute Math and numerous high-profile jaunts to South East Asia, the band have never stopped working on new material. With the new single, fans can expect instant echoes of the bands diverse inspirations inc. Air, Slowdive and The Beatles.

Organic collaboration via ‘The Cloud’has led to an evolution in The Cairos creative process; enabling them tolock and load tracks online ahead of rehearsals, streamliningtheiroutput and allowing more time for experimentation. The result of which is the new singleLove Don’t Feel Right, which is both familiar and yet more ‘pop’ than previous output. Speaking about the process, drummer Jacob said:

“We all write and record – we all have home studios where we can experiment and upload tracks collectively on a private cloud account.”

Jacob follows up on this insight with,“…the new single is a little bit different from what we have done before, it’s more pop inspired. With 100% creative control, this is the work that we have been wanting to produce.“
