Alistar Richardson aka Zefereli has a very busy couple of months ahead of him, hitting the road this August, September and October supporting Gang Of Youths on their epic Metro and Regional tour. Headlining shows in Brisbane, Sydney and now confirmed to perform at Memory Lane Festival alongside San Cisco, Stonefield, and Patrick James in October.

“Creating music is a process I’ve always gone through since I can remember. It’s like a drug, you get into a trance making music, you’re consumed, and the world around you doesn’t exist, you cannot eat for a day and barely notice. When it’s such a part of your life, you can’t help but voice emotions however personal, if you don’t then you’re only continuing to suppress whatever it is that you’re feeling“ say Richardson.

That enjoyment is evident in the dreamy soundscapes, where he challenges his experience and creativity producing melodic, yet dark pop rhythms combined with high pitched washed out falsetto vocals and a mean guitar solo performed by Sean Caskey (Last Dinosaurs).

The EP ‘Withdrawals’ was mastered by William Bowden (Gotye, Hermitude, Paul Dempsey) and was independently produced, engineered, mixed and recorded at The Warehouse. Zefereli himself performs all instruments on the EP
