24 Hour Video Race of Dallas says
The 24 Hour Video Race is a fun filmmaking competition in which teams of video makers have 24 hours to write, shoot, edit and score an original short film. The 2016 24-Hour Video Race will begin at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas/Mockingbird Station Friday on April 1st at 11:59 Objective - complete a digital film, within 24 hours by following the rules! The rules are simple and all teams will obtain the final "five" elements during the kick-off meeting. The elements include theme, prop, dialogue, action and character.

The race concludes 24 hours later with a mad dash to the finish line back at the Angelika Film Center in Dallas. Teams will hand in an H.264 QuickTime file on a USB flash drive that we will provide. All of the films that make it by the midnight deadline will be screened at the Angelika and compete for awards and bragging rights. Depending on how many teams survive we will screen the films and announce the winner. The winning videos will be highlight and on You+Media Dallas and eligible screened on KERA Channel 13’s Frame of Mind, and the 10th Annual Dallas Film Festival
