"Continuing The Legacy Walk Remembering Selma" Demonstration In Dallas Tx

March 7th, 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the first legendary march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. This was the first of three marches for the Selma Voting Rights Movement and led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act, a landmark federal achievement of the 1960s American Civil Rights Movement.

The Next Generation Action Network is honored to commemorate this legacy by hosting “Continuing the Legacy Walk; Remembering Selma” on Saturday March 7th. We will be meeting at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on Singleton Boulevard and Beckley Avenue at 12:30 P.M. The march will promptly begin at 1:00 P.M.
